The Role
As a Project Sales Engineer – ASEAN, you will join our ASEAN team and play a key role in expanding Amazon Filters’ footprint in industrial filtration solutions across the region. You will be instrumental in driving capital project sales and business development activity, working closely with the ASEAN Business Development team to grow our presence in strategic markets.
You will develop and manage a pipeline of large‑scale filtration projects, engaging early with EPC contractors, engineering consultants, package providers and end‑users to specify Amazon Filters solutions at the front end of project lifecycles.
This is a commercially focused, technically informed role combining relationship building, bid management and strategic sales activity. You will take ownership of lead generation, project opportunities, quotations and bid follow‑up, supported by our Project Specialists and Proposals Engineering teams.
This role operates on a home‑based model with extensive travel across the ASEAN region (typically over 50%), with occasional overseas meetings, conferences and assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute annual sales forecasts and business development plans aligned to regional strategy
Identify, qualify and manage capital project opportunities involving industrial or large‑scale filtration systems
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across key sectors and markets
Client & Consultant Engagement
Establish and strengthen relationships with EPC firms, engineering consultants, contractors, package providers and end‑users
Promote specification of Amazon Filters products early in project lifecycles
Act as a trusted technical and commercial partner throughout the sales process
Bid, Tender & Project Support
Support the preparation of bids, tenders, RFQs and technical proposals for major capital projects
Work closely with Project Specialists, Proposals Engineering, R&D and Manufacturing teams to develop technically compliant and commercially competitive solutions
Participate in contract structuring and negotiations relating to supply terms, warranties and after‑sales support
Strategic Sales & Market Intelligence
Promote high‑value, engineered filtration solutions that meet performance, regulatory and environmental standards
Monitor project pipelines, market trends, competitor activity and emerging regulations
Identify and develop strategic partnerships with OEMs, distributors and systems integrators
Reporting, Forecasting & Governance
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipelines and sales forecasts
Provide regular reporting on activity, opportunities and KPIs to Sales and Business Development leadership
Present forecasts and strategic updates to senior stakeholders when required
Collaboration, Compliance & Professional Conduct
Communicate regularly with internal sales and operational teams to share customer feedback and market insight
Represent Amazon Filters professionally at all times and support the company’s reputation
Complete mandatory Amazon Learn training and adhere to health & safety and ISO standards
About You
We are looking for a commercially driven sales professional with proven experience in capital projects, who is comfortable working independently, travelling extensively and engaging with complex stakeholder environments.
Essential requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical or commercial discipline
Demonstrable experience in sales or business development within capital projects or infrastructure sectors
Strong understanding of project lifecycles and procurement models (EPCs, Packagers, Integrators, OEMs and asset owners)
Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and complex decision‑making processes
Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills
High levels of organisation with the ability to prioritise competing demands
Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools
Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
Desirable experience:
Filtration, separation or engineered process solutions experience
Proven success securing large‑scale capital projects
Industry exposure within oil & gas, power generation, pharmaceutical, chemical or industrial sectors
Additional language skills (English required; Bahasa or other ASEAN languages advantageous)
